🎄SURVIVING THE FESTIVE SEASON – MOVE👯💃
❄️It’s beginning to feel A LOT like Christmas. It’s colder than cold outside which makes snuggling up by a fire or with a hot water bottle a great deal more appealing than a workout.
🏃♀️At this time of year, with social commitments, hangovers, Christmas demands and the cold, we can find out exercise routine goes out the window.
⚕️The NHS suggests 150 minutes of moderate activity a week ( brisk walking, cleaning LOL, bicycling gently) or 75 minutes of vigorou exercise (sport, running, dancing🕺).
🔜If you think you might find that hard to hit this month, here are some of my favourite movement tips:
💞1. Find movement you enjoy. If you find exercise that you love it will be a lot easier to set that early morning alarm or jump out of bed. For me my favorites are r boxing, spinning @psyclelondon is my jam, and Pilates with @maia.wellco
▶️2. Consider 7 small 20-minute workouts is that feels more achievable. there are plenty of YouTube videos that you can do in the warmth and comfort of your home.
👨👩👧👦3. As it’s the festive time of year get family or friends involved for a walk or play with the young ones who have boundless energy!
💆4. Also appreciate that sometimes our bodies need and deserve a break. If you happen to take a couple weeks off from exercise and know that your body needs it, this is far better then pushing yourself and potentially harming your health.
